SUMMARY:

The Redheffer matrices, R_n, described in 1977 for the first time, is a class of matrices intimately connected to some important problems in Numbr theory, as the Riemann hypothesis and the prime number theorem, and Kàlmar factorisatio numerorum problem. The aim of this dissertation ís to describe the main resuls obtained in the literature about the spectral analysis of R_n and also its connections with the factorisatio numerorum problem. Our main contribution is anew computational validation of the disproof of a conjecture related to the location of the eigen-values of R_n in the complex plane.
