RESUMO:

We study thermoacoustic oscillations in conducting fluids, provoked by temperature gradients in cylindrical tubes. We take into account a finite viscosity for the fluid in the tube, but neglect any finite electric resistivity. We extend the usual model for nonconducting fluids, by including oscillations coupled to a magnetic field. We use the linear perturbation theory to investigate the resulting system of partial differential equations, reducing it to a single equation. Finally, we proceed to a numerical study of the solutions of those equations.
