SUMMARY:

In this presentation, we wish to provide an oversight on qubit control methods in NMR quantum computing. A significant focus is placed on the use of modulated pulses to enhance qubit control and gate fidelity. The presentation will delve into the design of modulated pulses, discussing how they can optimize various aspects of qubit control, correct inhomogeneities in the magnectic field, mitigate the detrimental effects of noise and calibration errors, compensate the spectral width of RF pulses. Special care is given to the use of Fourier series analysis in the design of modulated pulses to overcome some of their effects, such as Dilation Property and the Gibbs Phenomenon. As future plans we are testing and collecting data on quantum process tomographies (QPT) of such pulses in our spectrometer. Further exploration on using QPT and Choi Matrices to map the typical noise of the NMR spectrometer has shown satisfactory results numerically for a small number of qubits.
