SUMMARY:

The  Boson sampling,  a scheme consiting of sampling of photons at the output of an interferometer,  i.e.,   from photons scattered in a linear network, is promising proposal for non-universal quantum  computer. In the original proposal  of Boson sampling  single photons, one photon per mode of input, were considered, which is difficult to realize experimentally. Ulternative proposal, called the Gaussian Boson sampling, utilizes the squeezed states of light instead of the single photons. Starting from the formalism as in  the usual approach,  specifically by using the generating functions approach,  we have succedded to consider the quantum  interference on   linear networks  in the above two  types of the  Boson sampling proposal.   We have found that the approach allows one to derive the suppression laws, which generalize the Hong-Ou-Mandel effect for multi-photon input states. The  above laws are broken by the distinguishability of photons, the latter being an important source of noise in the Boson sampling.
