SUMMARY:
This PhD thesis presents a study about physics beyond standard model at the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment - DUNE, in particular, the non-standard neutrino interactions (NSI). The basics of the work are presented first as follows: i) neutrino oscillations; ii) the interactions of neutrinos according to the standard model and iii) their non-standard interactions. Concomitantly, the main characteristics of DUNE are discussed. From these bases, it is carried out a study on the influence of the matter density profile in determining the oscillation parameters. The analysis shows that there is no significant difference in the potential of DUNE in restricting the standard oscillation parameters when considering different matter density profiles. The sensitivity of the experiment to the NSI parameters in the propagation of the neutrino beam was also determined. In this analysis, it is identified that the presence of NSI implies the degeneracy of certain parameters, even if NSI are more restricted when compared with current results. Simulations of NSI in the creation and detection interactions are also conducted. In this case, the results indicate that DUNE will be able to restrict all parameters with the exception of the CP violation phases due to NSI. The work is concluded presenting the possibility of identifying the presence of Lorentz invariance violation as well as the presence of a new particle in the far detector.
