On the stability of ultra-compact objects in general relativity

RESUMO:

We build and study compact objects models in the context of Einstein-Maxwell theory. Regular black holes and quasiblak holes are of particular interest in  the present study. Exact solutions of the Einstein-Maxwell equations are found and the stability of such solutions against radial perturbation is investigated. WE first review some fundamental concepts of the theory and write the system of general equations for a spherically symmetric distribution of electrically charged fluid. A few classes of solutions representing regular black holes, quasiblack holes, and other ultra-compact objects are displayed. The stability under radial perturbations of such objects is investigated in detail. At last we employ the Newman-Janis algorithm to build models of rotating ultra-compact objects. The junction conditions are displayed and the possible interpretation of these solutions as representing astrophysical objects is discussed.
