RESUMO:

Several works pointing to a lag of the contents of Physics in relation to the development of science currently present us the need to rethink the school curriculum of High School. Physics covered in schools, based on external evaluations - in particular the ENEM - and the large vestibules have their topics centered on Classical Physics, that is, only physics developed until the end of the 19th century. Thus, in the present work we defend the insertion of topics of modern and contemporary physics (FMC) in regular secondary school, we believe that the insertion of particle physics (FP) is a potentiator to the teaching and learning of physics by connecting them to the needs and challenges of modern society, thus arousing the interest and motivation of the students, since we are dealing with a frontier science and a production. Aware of the challenge of defining what is scientific dissemination (DC) we seek to present a concept of DC that is free of imprecisions and ambiguities, which brings us closer to an understanding that satisfies the complexity that is part of the work of disseminating science. Therefore, this work was based on the theory of learning by Jerome Bruner's discovery supported by the definition of scientific dissemination as a frontier that unites the different sociological fields interested in scientific production and its knowledge to a non-specialized audience. In this perspective, we developed, applied and evaluated a set of activities of reading texts of scientific divulgation to a group of students of the third grade in high school and the analysis of the content produced by the researched students allowed us to infer that the students were engaged in seeking to apprehend knowledge of Particle Physics in scientific dissemination texts and that reading activities can represent a viable alternative to address such contents.
