RESUMO:

The main objective of this master's work is to investigate the two-dimensional dynamic behavior of a top-pull vertical riser during the process of elevating a two-phase liquid-gas flow. The riser will simply be supported at its ends. The structure has an elastic-linear behavior and is seen as a classic Euler-Bernoulli beam.
The governing equations will be simulated numerically using the finite element method. A computational code will be developed in MATLAB for numerical simulations.
