RESUMO:

The structural response to random vibrations is usually so complicated that na observer conducting experiments cannot tell When a significant change in the process occurs. In motorcycles, there are different types of phenomena that can be inserted as random vibrations, such as the wind, the road, the mechanical elements that make up the motorcycle, etc. For this study, the validation of a simple model and the simulation of the real model will be caried out to obtain the results. A cantilever beam has been used for the validation of methodology, which theoretical values has been compared with a matlab script for the power spectre density response for the time domain. The root mean square response is estimate such as displacement, velocity, acceleration and stress. Therefore, once the validation is accurate, the perform of modal analysis of a motorcycle is done, such the development of PSD from the time domain information with the PSD displacement, velocity, acceleration and stress responses at specific elements/nodes. The results indicate that accurate on-the-line dumping ratios, natural frequencies, mean square values and half-power points of the input can be obtained and that nonlinear system can be detected.
