Design of Rectenas for 2.4 GHz ISM Band based on an Antipodal Vivaldi Antenna
Currently, several studies aim to improve the efficiency in the use of RF electromagnetic energy available in the ambient, where, by using a rectenna, it is possible to convert this energy into direct current energy, eliminating, for example, the use of batteries in low power electronic system. In this context, this work proposes to design and analyze the performance of the Antipodal Vivaldi Antenna and the Antipodal Vivaldi Antenna with Elliptical Slots, both fabricated on low-cost FR-4 substrate. In the work, satisfactory results were obtained, verifying the viability of these antennas in RF energy harvesting and confirming the presented proposal.
