RESUMO:

Society 5.0 aims at promoting the citizen’s well-being, reducing inequalities and promoting social, economic and environmental sustainability. The technological innovation and digitalization promoted by Industry 4.0 are seen as the main driving forces behind this transformation, enabling the construction of a “super smart” society. In this context, redesigning the production and value chains that bring food to cities can collaborate to promote social well-being, while also providing other environmental and economic services. Thus, this project works towards assessing the relationships between the pillars of Industry 4.0, Society 5.0 and urban and peri-urban agriculture as well as to draw a diagnosis of the potential of using urbanized territory as a means of producing food and promoting socio-environmental services. The work methodology is divided into four stages, being (i) literature review; (ii) construction of relationship matrices; (iii) description of the system architecture; (iv) proposed maturity model. The literature review will be carried out through research on bibliographic databases using keyword relating to Industry 4.0, Society 5.0 and urban agriculture. The bi-dimensional relationship matrices and the valuation of these relations will seek to highlight the points of intersection between urban agriculture, Society 5.0 and Industry 4.0. From a holistic view and identification of points of convergence and divergence, the architectural proposal of the urban agriculture system will be based on the international standard ISO/IEC/IEEE 42010:2011. Finally, a maturity model will be proposed which can be used as a management tool that aims at the systematization and operationalization of urban agriculture 5.0, helping assess the degree of alignment between the proposed architecture and the current capabilities of the urban agricultural system.
