RESUMO:

This paper aims to analyze the concept of Free Access to Justice and its mechanisms within the Brazilian judicial system. The Study of Access to Justice began to be carried out with greater attention from the work of Mauro Capelletti and Bryant Garth, who began to observe the existence of renewal waves that facilitated this access, considering, among other aspects, the difficulty of the needy population in obtaining mechanisms for seeking their rights before the courts. In this sense, the analysis will be made observing the case of the São Bernardo do Campo Law School, a municipal municipality that develops a public service of free legal assistance to needy citizens. Initially, it will be identified what is the access to free justice from the perspective of Human Rights and the Federal Constitution, being adopted methodology of a descriptive and analytical study, through bibliographical research, through a qualitative approach, analyzing the theme in an interdisciplinary manner, dialoguing with the areas of law, political science, sociology, public policy and philosophy, exploring the theme with information, and descriptive, aiming to clarify the theme under study, namely to verify the effectiveness of access to free justice from the point of view of the contribution of the Law Scholl of São Bernardo do Campo. In this perspective, it will seek to analyze the system of access to free justice in the city of São Bernardo do Campo, state of São Paulo, with a special focus on the participation of the Law School, verifying which agencies act as access to Free Justice, which the mechanisms for access to Free Justice in the municipality and what is the contribution of the São Bernardo do Campo Law School for access to Free Justice.
