RESUMO:

The study presents research on the adoption of affirmative actions in Brazil. Based on the analysis of procedures established by heteroidentification commissions of policies that involve the access of black men and black women in public universities and public competitions that reserve the vacancies by racial quotas, we sought to apprehend the idea of race, configured to the methods of execution, as well as the narrative dispute over the policy itself and its access processes. Thus, the focus of this work is oriented on the reality exposed in the entry of black men and black women to public offices of the City of São Paulo.
