SUMMARY:

From 2015 onwards, the migration flow from Venezuela began in the context of the country's worsening political, economic, and social crisis. With the high number of migrants and refugees entering Brazil, several actions were taken by UN agencies, the Federal Government, and civil society. Therefore, this research analyzes the threats identified, in light of human security, to Venezuelan migrants and refugees in Brazil who received targeted action through the Response Plan for Migration Refugees and Migrants between the years 2019 and 2022. By carrying out in this analysis, the research problem is the question: how does the implementation of the Response Plan for Migration Refugees and Migrants articulate human security in the issue of Venezuelan migration in Brazil? The hypothesis is that both are related, so that from the Response Plan for Migration Refugees and Migrants, it is possible to verify which are the most urgent threats to migrants from the perspective of human security and, therefore, have more targeted responses to these threats with the aim of providing greater security to them. Thus, the main objective is to analyze the sectors implemented in the Response Plan for Migration Refugees and Migrants for Brazil from the perspective of human security. The relevance lies in the contribution of the underlying scientific construction, which verifies what was mobilized for migrants and what threats were identified for a response. The methodology used is a documentary analysis of the Response Plan for Migration Refugees and Migrants and a bibliographical analysis of human security theory.
