SUMMARY:

The objective of this report is to introduce some general lines of the work to be developed, accompanied by the student journey carried out so far and, then, to report, albeit in a partial and cropped way, the field that theoretically supports the work, widely inserted in studies of gender and, more specifically, in masculinity studies. The report proves to be important insofar as this is the tool that will serve, in several senses, as a theoretical paradigm to guide the analysis of the speeches that make up the corpus, coming from men, “influencers”, about MGTOW (Men Going Their Own Way or “men following their own path”), community of men, taken as a discursive community, which propagates in the digital environment a remodeled discourse about the constitution of – supposed – new masculinities, inserted in a broader and reactionary masculinist movement in relation to to advances in understanding the gender system itself.
