NÃO EXISTE MULHER BANDIDA”: UM ESTUDO DAS RELAÇÕES DE GÊNERO NAS PRISÕES PAULISTAS A PARTIR DA TEORIA DA REPRODUÇÃO SOCIAL
We understand prison as an institution closely related to the capitalist mode of production and reproduction of life. This time, we study the prison and its internal dynamics with the aim of, in addition to apprehending and presenting such relationships, to understand how its dynamics explain and are explained by the current conformation of the sociometabolic order of capital. Based on the Theory of Social Reproduction (TRS), we seek to understand how gender relations, co-constituted by race, class and sexual relations, permeate and shape the dynamics of prisons in the state of São Paulo, marked by the presence of the prisoner organization First Capital Command. The problem of this research places it within the scope of qualitative research, and its complexity required the collection of data and information from different sources. We chose to carry out interviews with prisoners, former prisoners and employees of prisons in São Paulo; by observing the dynamics and power relations in prison institutions based on visits to these spaces; through the analysis of materials produced by the PCC itself; and by analyzing the testimony of a person considered to be one of the organization's leaders. We developed analyzes on the sexual division of labor in the PCC within the scope of prisons, on the gender representations that modulate the discourses of prisoners, former prisoners and prison employees, and on the impact of masculinities in the construction of the experiences of the incarcerated LGBTQIA+ population.
