Abstract

 

The study will aim basically at a "public and notorious perception" of corruption practices, in indicative evidence and in understanding the lava jato operation and its consequences for the Brazilian political process, especially its evident performance with legal asymmetry aiming at a quick and fast conviction of the accused based on popular clamor, a performance that broke with the Brazilian legal-penal tradition and initiated a strong and atypical imbrication with the political sphere in a judicial activism that visibly sought a new guidance for the Brazilian political paradigm. In this context, we seek to understand if the Lavajato group, made up of part of the Judiciary, the Public Ministry and the Federal Police, in partnership with the corporate media acted in an articulated manner in a political performance with a discourse and rhetoric of anti-politics in order to erode the current system of representation and lead to a complete rejection of traditional political activity as an unavoidable solution for the salvation of the country, advocating an idea that without a swift, massive and quick conviction of the "corrupt", there would be no viable alternative for the country. The analysis of the imbrication with politics will focus on the State/Government model "desired" incisively by the authorities involved in the lava jato case, by certain sectors of the media and by political segments that, under the argument of the failure of the current political model due to the performance of corruption, began to preach the institution of a new model, whose essence seems to show itself as the negation of politics and the institution of a State model with an authoritarian and police bias.

 

The research is justified in order to establish an understanding of the dimension between the institutional sphere of the State and Law and its possible distortion to reach a political dimension and influence a consistent and decisive change in the legal and political paradigm in Brazil, through a synchronized arrangement of legal-institutional and media actions in the sense of creating a public opinion widely in favor of the deconstruction of the current political-party model by a model that is oriented towards the negation of politics for the assumption of a substitutive state apparatus of authoritarian nature, although it presents itself as more pro-bono and free of the "immoral relations" of the current political model.
