RESUMO:

In this research, we aimed to understand the forms of resistance to Psychiatric Counter-Reform of workers at the Psychosocial Care Center for Alcohol and Other Drugs III in the city of Santo André, in the city of São Paulo. Therefore, we conducted four semi-structured interviews with professionals who were present in the field of mental health from 2016 to 2020, so that we focused on characterizing the phenomenon in this time frame. With the approval of Plataforma Brasil, as well as other ethical instances in research, the interviews were submitted to the analysis of the Meaning Centers, an analytical - methodological instrument from Socio-Historical Psychology, also drawing on the theoretical framework of Social Sciences in Health, to understanding of the narratives. From the singularities, going towards the universal through the particularities, we used the meanings and senses shared in the interviews about the implications and personal encounters with the political ethical project put forward. We also found how the COVID-19 pandemic context reverberated and aggravated the counter-reformist intricacies in the daily life of the service, focusing on the processes and working conditions in this context, and we also sought to unveil how the coexistence of dual models presents itself in the daily life of the worker; such as: asylum - anti-asylum, anti-prohibitionist - prohibitionist, biomedical-centered - multidisciplinary; among others, leading to reflection on how this fact affects clinical management. With regard to forms of resistance, we highlight the everyday forms, through the presence of the ideals that support the Anti-Asylum Struggle, and we underline the interviewees' demand for updating the social movement. Furthermore, we point out as a possibility of strengthening resistant to the counter-reformist tide, the encouragement of Permanent Education in Health.
