RESUMO:

Our object in the present thesis is to present a systematic analysis on how companies implement public policy regarding apprentices pratical experience in three dimensions: social insertion, professional training and occupational accidents. Thus, we analyzed three different groups of the apprentices aged 17 to 19 working in an automobile factory in São Bernardo: one group in mechanic from SENAI, and two administrative assistant groups from CIEE and CAMP. The research was based on ethnographic observation hierarchical production divisions, carried out from 2015 and 2019. The approach used semi-structured interviews, individual and group dynamics, socioeconomic questionnaire, personal meetings at the factory and also visiting at partner institutions (SENAI, CIEE e CAMP). The results point to a sub-category (lower positions) held by theirs three groups: (i) SENAI-mechanic apprentices: predominantly male, descended from a metallurgical family - politically articulated category, has a high socioeconomic level, prestige, better professional training, higher remuneration and chance of ascending the factory carrier; (ii) CIEE-administrative assistant apprentices: they have low professional training and lower socioeconomic status than the first group; (iii) CAMP-administrative assistant apprentices: mostly female, is the group most marginalized by low socioeconomic status and high family migration. I concluded that the studied company should promote a single path of insertion and professional training to these apprentices, instead of three as today, and also including deeply the theme of work accidents in company.
