SUMMARY:

The present work will have as objective the spatial analysis of the socioeconomic and environmental data in the scenario of the urban floods that occurred between 2018 and 2019 in the Greater ABC Paulista. The purpose of this work will be to understand how the distribution of cases of waterborne diseases occurs in the urban area after a flood event, in addition to verifying whether there is any type of association or pattern of occurrence of the diseases due to the lack of domestic sewage collection and the release of effluent points close to precarious settlements. The methodology to be used will consist of delineating areas close to water bodies, these places being the most vulnerable to extreme events and with deficiencies in sewage collection and treatment. Data analysis will use data from sewage collection and treatment, water potability standards, age, gender, ethnicity, waterborne diseases and rainfall information. The results will be presented as tables of percentages of case records and event frequencies, maps, time series graphs. , this work also intends to carry out a hydrological diagnosis of flood events that occurred close to precarious settlements and thus carry out the construction of scenarios of actions and challenges for flood management and their relationship between the individual and water in large cities.
