RESUMO:

Academic collaboration is an essential part of an academic's professional performance. Academic discoveries were only possible to be made with the cooperation of different researchers. Different works have studied academic collaboration and how it evolves with scientific growth. The most comprehensive focus of the research was addressed to the study of collaboration based on indexed publications. In this context, insufficient attention was directed to the study of collaboration time between researchers. How is the collaboration of a researcher over the years? In the scientific journey, how have collaborators interacted with the researcher? Based on curricular information, in this project, we aim to design and develop computational algorithms that allow us to analyze the behavior of collaborations (i.e., longevity) centered on researchers, groups or academic institutions. Analyzing the different collaboration clusters presents an extremely computational challenge given that the computational time expected to estimate is exponential.
Finally, it is important to emphasize that this project intends to bring contributions at two levels: (1) theoretical: Through the creation of new computational heuristics that allow the analysis of interactions between researchers, and (2) practical: Through the unprecedented characterization of the researchers' paths over time (in a Brazilian context).
