RESUMO:

Community detection is an important task of network analysis for it is capable of revealing interaction patterns and interesting structures for different practical problems like metabolic networks, epidemics and social networks analysis, to name a few. Current algorithms for this task are capable of finding the communities of a network assuming that they are already complete and does not have any noisy data. In real networks, this hypothesis is hardly mantained. Given that, these algorithms may present variations in their results when compared to the real expected solution such as some nodes in wrong communities, two or more communities that should be a single community, one community that should be spanned to two or more communities. This happens because it is not always possible to collect sufficient data to capture the true patterns inside the network. Given that, this work has the main objectives of creating heuristics based on statistical information of the network in order to enrich the information quantity and quality of the network, and the creation of a search algorithm to find the generator function of a network using side-information of the nodes and edges in a way that it is capable of creating new elements that follow a pattern close to the real network generation process. It is expected that these enriched networks allow us to improve the results of community detection algorithms.
