Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is characterized by adversities in the area of neurodevelopment, affecting approximately one in every 200 people. It affects the areas of socialization, communication and learning. A person inserted in ASD is already born with the disorder, there is no cure for this situation. However, no system was found to assist the health professional in making the decision of whether or not a person is included in the ASD. This dissertation describes the olharTEA, a system developed to use the peculiar way in which the eyes of people inserted in the ASD react to certain types of images, to help the medical field in the diagnosis of children from five to 12 years old. olharTEA consists of using a webcam to capture the focal map of children, comparing it with focal maps of several children previously studied from inside and outside the ASD, made available by a public Dataset. The comparison is possible because 34 classification methods of the artificial intelligence (AI) tool Sklearn, from Python, were used, where the best classifiers in terms of accuracy were SVC, KNeighborsClassifier and HistGradientBoostingClassifier. This allowed the olharTEA to perform the desired prediction, indicating the chances of the analyzed child being inside or outside the ASD. Usability tests will be performed on adults, so that their feedback will allow for possible adjustments in the olharTEA. With the development of the olharTEA, it is noted that there are possibilities for different studies regarding the use of computers for diagnosing different diseases and disorders, such as ASD.
