RESUMO:

Brazilian Inclusion Law No. 13,146, of July 6, 2015, regulates “guaranteeing and promoting, under sports conditions, the exercise of fundamental rights and freedoms by persons with disabilities, activating their social selection and citizenship”. Exclusion due to insufficient access in several areas can affect technology, among digital educational games. This type of technology has been widely used in the classroom, due to its fun character, in games considered good instruments to support the learning process. If, on the one hand, those who use some type of accessibility are rare, on the other hand, there are no reports of games that were used from a universal design (DU) perspective, that is, a single game capable of being used by different types of people, including those with disabilities. Part of this gap can be attributed to a complexity that involves the design of a game and the absence of specific restrictions for the design and implementation of digital games. The consequence is a digital and educational exclusion, of a group of students, when these games are used for the learning process. In this context, this work offers a set of standards and calls for the design of a digital educational game (JED) of the RPG (RPG) genre. To achieve this, a one-year field study was used, in which data were collected by direct observation during the design and development of a type of RPG. In addition to the field study, use and accessibility tests were carried out with different types of users, among them: people without disabilities, deaf people, people with visual and cognitive disabilities. The expected results are recommendations, which exceed the standards, covering three perspectives of game design: Interface, Narrative and Mechanics. The main contribution of this research is to provide guidelines for other educational game projects, from the perspective of DU, can be displayed. It is hoped that in this way, collaborate so that the game can be used in universal and inclusive education.
