Analysis of cement paste with crystalline admixture under different curing conditions
Crystalline admixture is added in concrete to allow self-healing of its cracks. This material has extended durability because of the admixture. This study was made with cement paste produced with crystalline admixture in proportions of 0 %, 0.8 %, 1 %, and 1.2 %, in relation to the cement mass. A semi-submerged cure was performed in solutions of pHs 3, 7, and 10, in addition to an air cure. These samples were tested by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and thermogravimetry (TG). Along with these experiments, alteration of the pH of water in contact with specimens with admixture in the same proportions as the previous ones was monitored. It is expected to analyze the possible changes of the material with crystalline admixture in these curing conditions and the pH changes in the solution of submerged curing material.
