SUMMARY:

This dissertation investigates the relation between small cardinals (such as b, d, and cov(M)) and topological games. Chapter 1 studies these cardinals defined on ω^ω, their relations, and combinatorial characterizations. Chapter 2 introduces the topological games point-open, Rothberger, and Menger game, proving the duality between the first two and characterizing Rothberger spaces by the non-existence of a winning strategy for Alice. Chapter 3 extends the games to ordinal lengths greater than ω, defining the point-open type cardinal pot(X) and establishing bounds related to this cardinal function.
