Connecting the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon with neutrino mass

SUMMARY:

The solution to the anomalous magnetic momento of the muon $(g-2)_\mu$ requires new physics at a scale not too far from the electroweak scale.
We seek models where the same mediators that solve $(g-2)_\mu$ also generate neutrino masses.
One of the mediators is the righthanded neutrino that participates in the seesaw and we focus on models with a chirally enhanced contribution to $(g-2)_\mu$ involving the same righthanded neutrino.
With this contribution, the new physics scale can lie at the TeV scale or higher.
This contribution also involves a second Higgs doublet and one charged singlet scalar.
One of the models is a neutrinophilic version of the 2HDM where the seesaw scale is lowered by attributing part of the smallness of neutrino masses to a suppressed vacuum expectation value of the second Higgs doublet.
We discuss the interplay of generating the necessary contribution to $(g-2)_\mu$ with lepton flavor violation which is also necessarily brought to low scale.
