ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVES AND ELECTROMAGNETIC SPECTRUM.
A proposal using the three pedagogical moments
This study aimed to apply the methodology of the three pedagogical moments in
physics classes to verify if there is more engagement and better learning. It is
supported by sociocultural theory, and its theme is electromagnetic waves and
electromagnetic spectrum. We used the theme triggering the color and brightness
of the stars in the first pedagogical moment, we organized the knowledge about
electromagnetic waves in the second moment using active methodologies and,
in the third moment we observe the spectrum, its frequency ranges and uses of
waves according to the positioning of frequencies and daily and technological
applications. We tried to make a qualitative discussion about the results by
observing the application in a hybrid way, which was not the objective of
application. It was applied to 2nd year private school students when the proposal
would be applied for 3rd year of public and night school.
