THE STUDY OF MODERN PHYSICS USING A LOW COST SPECTROPHOTOMETER
In General, all those involved in the field of education, in particular the physics, have observed that very little is discussed in our schools about modern physics. We cannot ignore the fact that the world on which our students live is full of concepts that are related to technology, which are close related to modern physics. In this work, we intend to contribute to the learning of the students in this area of knowledge, by means of a home made spectrophotometer and Arduino. The teaching material aims to discuss semiconductors, components used in the construction of the equipment, the interaction of light with matter, as well as the application of technology in the area of science in general, considering ninth grade students of the elementary school as the target group. In this work we report all experience gained with the application of this product, its educational process of construction and the results obtained with a group of students.
