SOLAR ENERGY TEACHING AND PHOTOVOLTAIC EFFECT IN HIGH SCHOOL
The solar energy is already widely used in our society. Photovoltaic panels can be found throughout the main cities. The school is expected to be an environment of connection with the available technologies and the explanation of the related physical concepts. The high school physics class should be responsible for contextualizing the content developed in the classroom with the reality of the students since it may be their ultimate contact with this discipline in their life. The present work brings a didactic sequence using the methodology of Project-Based Learning (PBL) addressing energy content solar production and conversion into electricity through the effect of photovoltaic. Using resources such as virtual simulators, discussions and experimental scripts with solar panels and LEDs, ending with a presentation of homemade solar panels made with LEDs. The educational product can be applied in an elective discipline whose theme is sources of clean energy impacts and transformations with to provide students with more meaningful learning.
