LEAN STARTUP: ALTERNATIVE TO TRADITIONAL BUSINESS PLAN IN BRAZILIAN TECHNOLOGY COMPANIES
The technological evolution seen in recent years is promoting changes in the way companies establish themselves and develop their business models. Increasingly, the marketplace demands ever shorter response intervals as well as flexibility and dynamism to undertake and innovate. Thus, various practices are being employed to help entrepreneurs in this new scenario, especially startup leaders with innovative technology-based projects. This paper aims to investigate how lean startup can help new innovation-based enterprises validate their business models, what are the critical success factors for their implementation, and how well technology startups adopt their practices. in the state of Sao Paulo. Thus, three main steps are proposed: a systematic literature review on the subject, with the identification of studies on lean startup, customer development and agile management and the main consequences of the implementation on companies and the critical factors for its implementation. The following steps include multiple case studies to identify technology startup practices to validate their business models, and data collection with technology-based startup leaders to assess their effectiveness, key obstacles, and facilitators for its implementation. Among the expected results, we can highlight the benefits of implementing a business model and its impact on business management, in areas such as flexibility and cost reduction, compared to management based on traditional business plans widely used in Brazilian companies.
