• General Information:

The Philosophy program is composed of a renowned faculty, recognized in their respective areas and different majors. The program main goal is to combine interdisciplinary training, which is a trait of the university, to elements that constitute research in Philosophy, considering the established tradition of this area in Brazil.

Thus, the student holding an UFABC's Master of Philosophy shall demonstrate the following competencies:

1) precise reading and analysis of philosophical texts, underlining the assumptions, theories, concepts, and arguments involved;

2) development of a well grounded own philosophical discourse, which should culminate with writing of scientific papers and master's thesis;

3) ability to ponder on current issues, applying philosophical argumentation and analytical tools.
