The Graduate Program in Electrical Engineering is aimed at professionals who want to improve technically in the research areas offered by the program and also prepare to face the new technological challenges of the 21st century.
The faculty is composed of professionals with strong expertise in electrical engineering and are prepared to supervise the students in the different challenges in the filed. The program has an interdisciplinary structure that encompasses the research areas: 1) Electrical and Electronic Systems and 2) Computer Modeling and Simulation.
The interaction between these fields of study is fundamental in the development of modern telecommunications, electronics, and electrical energy supply systems, from generation to final use, in a sustainable and efficient way (smart grids).
The program has laboratories, where students can carry out their research in the areas of activity of the faculty, equipped with modern computers, software for analysis and simulation of electrical energy systems, benches for simulation and design of electronic components, electrical machines and telecommunication
Call for application usually opens in June and October.
More information about admission requirements and the application process are available on the program website.
Classes usually begin in February and September (depending on the year’s calendar)
