BIOSYSTEMS
The program arose from a necessity to train professionals who can project, model and characterize various biological systems to support knowledge generation and sustainable industrial production.
Program goals: 1) training of qualified human resources to conduct teaching, research, and scientific and technological development; 2) enable the development of research and extension projects designed to enhance and expedite scientific knowledge in the field of Biological Sciences; 3) meet the demand for professionals at regional, national, and international levels.
The professional prepared and trained by the Biosystems program must hold an interdisciplinary background, being able to interlace several concepts related to the study of biological systems, not only in homeostatic conditions (cellular or systemic), but also during the development of pathogenic processes, including the study of new approaches related to the treatment of such conditions.
